1st Single album of Hyo-Jeong LEE
Throughout the history of mankind, the apple has been presented as something of importance. Adam and Eve understood their sins at the moment they bit into an apple. An apple dropped on the head of Isaac Newton and led him to the crucial discovery of the law of universal gravitation. A poisoned apple given to Snow White played a key part in the fairy tale. An apple was the target placed on the head of William Tell’s son. Now, an apple with a bite represents the symbol of high-end technology and dominates our daily lives. It is on the backs of smartphones and laptops. Apples have never been just fruit in our history. The sweet smell of apples is always a strong attraction. Adam and Eve in the bible are not the only persons who were attracted by the smell.
However, the sweetest apples are not for people, but for worms. They approach the sweetest apples faster than we do and ‘intercept’ them. So, the worm-eaten apples are the sweetest among other apples. This is why the girl covets them. Although worm-eaten apples are damaged, they are irresistibly sweet. Is there any reason not to touch apples because they are worm-eaten? The new single ‘The Girl Eating a Wormy Apple’ written by Jazz singer-songwriter Lee Hyo-Jeong is about the desire of a girl who covets worm-eaten apples.
