What is attraction, and who are we attracted to? Some people are attracted to the masculine type; men with strong physiques and muscled arms. Others are attracted to ladies with curvy figures and large breasts. Some people are attracted to others who are similar to them, while some cling to people who are totally the opposite. Some say that sexual attraction follows DNA command, while others even put forward the intriguing notion that “we are attracted to the image of our parent of the opposite sex.”

In truth, we still don’t really know why we feel a particular attraction towards a particular stranger. ‘My Psychedelic Dears’ of Hyo-Jeong Lee is about the different kinds of attraction that we face throughout our lifetime. Being attracted to someone does not mean we will fall in love with that person. We may, but attraction is a strong feeling in itself, even though it may not relate to love. Attraction makes us want to dance. Attraction makes us want to be better people. The visual attractiveness that attracts us to one person may not attract another. So, we are all addicted to different types of attraction.

This song is not about love. Who is the person that makes you want to dance? Who is the person that makes you want to boil? We are all destined to be motivated by attraction, to dance and sing with love, even though we don’t know why we feel the attraction. Private, intimate song flows with modern Jazz chords in a dreamy mood. Once again, this song is not about love.
