Resistance of Alpha Girls
After her first album in 2014, Hyo-Jeong Lee is back with her second entitled BETA GIRL. In search of her identity, this jazz singer-songwriter got her band together once again in New York City. With ten heartfelt tracks, including two covers, we realize she goes on to tell us her routine story.
As we can find out in her title song, Beta Girl Funk, this Korean musician has been being interested in women’s situation in today's society. Sometimes dreaming of revolution, sometimes watching people’s masked faces, she captivates minds and connects her music to our emotions effortlessly - especially in Waltz for Mama. This fantastic music achievement is dedicated to her mother who passed away.
